Terms & prototype notice
Applies to the JawaChat web app and prototype mobile apps.
Do not rely on it for emergency calls, dispatch, guaranteed SOS delivery or life-safety communication.
Service availability
Messaging and calling depend on third-party relays, Internet paths, browser support, NAT/firewall behaviour and other infrastructure. Delivery and call connectivity are not guaranteed.
Your identity
You are responsible for protecting your vault password and recovery key. A lost recovery key may make an identity unrecoverable. Anyone who has your recovery key can control your identity.
Acceptable use
Do not use JawaChat to break applicable law, interfere with networks, abuse relay infrastructure, impersonate others, distribute malware or harass other users.
Third-party software
JawaChat uses third-party software components that keep their own licenses and terms.
Changes
The architecture and behaviour will change as the project matures. Production and mobile releases should include versioned terms suited to their actual services and jurisdictions.
